S2Media™ Columbia CNA Agar with 5% Sheep Blood
S²Media™ prepared Columbia CNA Agar with 5% Sheep Blood is a selective and differential culture medium recommended for the isolation and differentiation of Gram-positive microorganisms. The medium is supplemented with 5% defibrinated sheep blood to support the recovery of clinically significant organisms and enable the observation of hemolytic reactions. Colistin (15 mg/L) and nalidixic acid (10 mg/L) selectively inhibit most Gram-negative bacteria, enhancing the recovery of Gram-positive organisms. S²Media utilizes high-quality, aseptically collected U.S.-origin defibrinated sheep blood to ensure consistent performance and reliable microbiological results.
