S2Media™ Butterfield's Phosphate Buffer, pH 7.2, is a standardized microbiological diluent used for the preparation of dilution blanks and test sample suspensions. The phosphate buffering system maintains a stable pH during serial dilution and sample preparation, supporting reliable recovery and enumeration of microorganisms from food, dairy, water, and other microbiological samples. The formulation is specified or referenced in APHA, FDA Bacteriological Analytical Manual (BAM), and USP-NF methods for microbiological testing. Phosphate Buffer, pH 7.2 is not intended for the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.
