S2Media™ Tryptic Soy Agar with 5% Sheep Blood (Blood Agar)
S2Media™ prepared Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA) with 5% Sheep Blood, is a non-selective, differential growth medium intended for the isolation and cultivation of non-fastidious and fastidious microorganisms.
Defibrinated blood is mechanically agitated to encourage clotting. The blood is next filtered during the pooling process to remove fibrin. This process prevents the natural process of clotting from occurring within blood without the use of chemicals. S2M only uses quality animal blood products, which are aseptically collected from healthy animals of US origin, using sage and humane collection techniques.
