CHROMagar™ O157 is a selective chromogenic culture medium recommended for the isolation, differentiation, and presumptive identification of Escherichia coli O157 (including O157:H7 and O157:H-) from animal and food samples. The medium provides rapid chromogenic differentiation to support the detection of this clinically significant verocytotoxigenic (Shiga toxin-producing) E. coli serotype.
