CHROMagar™ Mycoplasma is a selective chromogenic culture medium recommended for the detection and presumptive identification of Mycoplasma bovis from bovine nasal swabs and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) specimens. M. bovis produces characteristic red, fried egg-shaped colonies following 3-7 days of incubation at 37°C in a CO₂ atmosphere, facilitating laboratory diagnosis of bovine mycoplasmosis.

👉 Key Performance Features:

  • Rapid Detection: Detects Mycoplasma bovis within 3-7 days after incubation at 37°C in a CO₂ atmosphere.

Distinct Colonies: Produces intense red, fried egg-shaped colonies for easy recognition and presumptive identification.

Direct Plating: Allows direct inoculation of nasal swab and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) specimens.

Easy Interpretation: High-contrast chromogenic reactions simplify colony detection and result interpretation.
