CHROMagar™ MH Orientation (RUO) is a chromogenic Mueller-Hinton agar that combines organism differentiation and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) on a single medium. Designed to accelerate clinical microbiology workflows, it enables same-day presumptive organism identification and susceptibility assessment directly from primary culture, reducing turnaround time compared to conventional workflows that typically require up to 48 hours. The medium is suitable for direct testing of selected clinical specimens, including urine and respiratory samples, supporting rapid therapeutic decision-making for applications such as urinary tract infections (UTIs) and ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP).
