CHROMagar™ ESBL (RUO), 5000mL
CHROMagar™ ESBL is a selective chromogenic culture medium for the qualitative detection and differentiation of extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Enterobacterales from rectal swabs and stool specimens. Following 18-24 hours of aerobic incubation at 35-37°C, the medium enables rapid presumptive identification of gastrointestinal ESBL colonization to support infection prevention, surveillance, and antimicrobial resistance screening. Presumptive isolates require confirmatory identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
👉 Key Performance Features:
Rapid Detection: Enables presumptive detection of ESBL-producing organisms following 18–24 hours of incubation, without the need for selective pre-enrichment.
Chromogenic Species Differentiation: Based on supplemented CHROMagar™ Orientation technology, providing simultaneous recovery and differentiation of clinically relevant ESBL-producing organisms by colony color.
High Sensitivity and Specificity: Optimized for the selective isolation of ESBL-producing Enterobacterales with excellent analytical performance.
Workflow Efficiency: Supports direct plating from clinical specimens, reducing hands-on time and accelerating laboratory turnaround.
