CHROMagar™ C.difficile, 5000mL

Quantity

CHROMagar™ C.difficile is a selective fluorogenic culture medium for the qualitative detection of Clostridioides difficile from stool specimens. Following 24 hours of anaerobic incubation at 35-37°C, presumptive C. difficile colonies are identified by fluorescence under UV illumination, supporting rapid gastrointestinal colonization screening and infection prevention programs. CHROMagar™ C.difficile is intended as a screening tool and is not intended for the diagnosis of infection or to guide antimicrobial therapy. Presumptive isolates should be confirmed by appropriate organism identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and epidemiological characterization.

  • Rapid Recovery: Produces well-defined colonies (approximately 2 mm) following 24 hours of anaerobic incubation, reducing turnaround time compared to conventional media that typically require 48 hours.

  • Versatile Application: Suitable for the detection of C. difficile from both clinical specimens and environmental samples, supporting infection control, surveillance, and environmental monitoring programs.

🧪The 5000mL kit (CD122) contains:

  • CD122(B) - C.difficile Base

  • CD122(S) - C.difficile Supplement
